This project for 12th St. and Walnut St. will include installing a new 30-inch storm line along 12th St. to help reduce flooding during heavy rainstorms. This new storm line will improve the area’s ability to handle rainwater, preventing it from pooling on the streets and causing potential damage to properties or making travel dangerous.

    WATER SHUTOFF ALERT: Due to scheduled utility work on Walnut and 12th St., between Parkwood and Trailwood Dr., there will be a planned water shutoff Monday, Feb. 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


    A contractor will be replacing two aging water mainline valves in the area. Work will continue until repairs are complete to ensure the system is safely restored.

    Starting next week, crews will begin preparation work for the 12th Street Drainage Project, an important improvement designed to help reduce flooding during heavy rainstorms.

    This new storm line will allow water to flow more efficiently into the detention pond. Expect some delays and single-lane shifts as crews move materials through the work zone along 12th St. from Westwood Dr. to Walnut St.

    Drivers are advised to watch for workers, follow posted signs and exercise caution when traveling through construction zones.
