7th and Walnut Street Multimodal Enhanced Construction

The 7th St. and Walnut St. multimodal enhanced construction will focus on three different aspects to improve the corridor for all pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists, but only one aspect will undergo construction in 2024. The other two aspects; which are water line replacement and roundabout installation isn’t anticipated until 2025.

Hardening improvements will make bicycle and pedestrian crossings safer and more permanent at the intersection of 7th St. and Walnut St. to make it more comfortable for all users. Construction includes installing a hardening diverter at the intersection and adding corner gateway improvements to the intersection of 7th St. and Main St.
