Project Update: July 1
Planning to celebrate Independence Day in Downtown Windsor? A few traffic and parking changes will be in place on Saturday, July 4, to accommodate the evening festivities at Boardwalk Park. Residents and visitors should plan ahead and allow extra time for parking and travel.
Traffic and Parking Information:
- 5th St. north of Main St. will be closed to vehicle traffic and open to pedestrians only.
- The Windsor History Museum and Art & Heritage Center parking lots will be permit parking only and reserved for event vendors and staff.
- Ash St. will be closed to vehicle traffic, except for access to the west backlot near the intersection of Ash St. and 6th St.
- Accessible parking will be available in the Boardwalk Park parking lot and can be accessed from Birch St.
- Construction on the 5th Street East Backlots Project remains underway adjacent to Boardwalk Park. Please stay out of the work zone and off railroad tracks and supervise children near the construction area.
