During the Central Sewer Basin Study, which was completed in early 2024, the areas in and around Hemlock Dr., Larch Dr. and Indian Trails Dr. were identified as needing sewer system upgrades. Design and construction of this project is scheduled to take place in spring 2025.
The purpose of this project is to meet the flow demand due to the expanding town population. Throughout the duration of construction, sewer line will be removed and replaced with upgraded line designed to withstand increased capacity.
Three priority areas were identified: along Hemlock Dr. from 7th St. to 3rd St., along Indian Trails Dr. from Stone Mountain Dr. in the west to the partial cul-de-sac north of Poudre Natural Area, and along Larch Dr. from north of Poudre Natural Area to Hemlock Dr.
Constructed is expected to begin in late winter 2025 and anticipated to be completed by early summer 2025. Through traffic and rolling closures are expected along the project areas, but residents will still be able to access homes.
Residents in all three priority areas will be notified before any work begins. A virtual information session will be scheduled as and recorded for residents to ask questions as construction details are finalized.
