A portion of Chimney Park is set for an irrigation replacement to upgrade its aging infrastructure with a new, water-efficient system. The primary objective of this project is to ensure the proper operation of sprinkler systems and make the watering process more efficient.
The revitalization efforts will be concentrated on the northern section of the park, particularly in the vicinity of the Chimney Park Pool area and the north ballfields. The project is scheduled to kick off in January 2024 and is expected to be completed in late fall of 2024. With a dedicated budget of $400,000 from the Capital Improvement Fund, this initiative shows the commitment to maintaining and enhancing the park, aligning with sustainability goals for more efficient water usage and reliability.
