This project will expand CO 392 from two lanes to four and add a multiuse trail for pedestrians and cyclists between Highland Meadows Pkwy. and Colorado Blvd. This will improve traffic flow and provide safer travel options for non-motorized users.

A key part of the project is constructing a new, raised bridge over the Cache la Poudre River. The bridge will require significant fill and will impact local wetlands, so wetland mitigation efforts will be put in place. Additionally, a detailed floodplain analysis will be done to ensure the new bridge doesn’t cause flooding issues. To address this, a CLOMR (Conditional Letter of Map Revision) and LOMR (Letter of Map Revision) will be submitted to FEMA to confirm the changes won’t negatively affect floodplain management.

The CO 392 widening project will help reduce traffic congestion by adding more lanes, allowing for smoother and faster travel for commuters. The addition of a multiuse trail will also make it safer and easier for pedestrians and cyclists to get around.
