Town staff are currently working on compiling the 2023 Traffic Crash report, which analyzes crash and traffic data from across town during the calendar year. Once complete, staff will use the findings from this report to identify and analyze locations across town where low-cost improvements can be made to help lower the risk of accidents.
Examples of low-cost improvements that could be utilized include:
Improved signing and striping
Improving sight distance for drivers
Traffic signal timing improvements (such as clearance intervals, changes to the progression of the signal, etc.)
Speed limit changes or other traffic calming measures
Locations affected by this project have yet to be determined and will vary in size and scope depending on the improvements that are recommended by staff.
