Project Update: April 12

The North 15th St. Campus construction is getting ready to start its next phase of construction as the new police station nears completion. Starting mid to late May, there will be a series of road closures along N. 15th St. (WCR 15) so crews can begin widening the roadway, finish utility tie-ins and repave the road.

The roadway will close north of the Public Works Facility entrance to County Rd. 72 for one week. During this time, no through traffic will be permitted and all commuter and truck traffic will have to detour. Following the closure, a temporary roadway will be in place and open to the public with the speed limit reduced to 25 mph. It is currently estimated that the temporary road will be in place for about four weeks. Once the new roadway is paved, crews will continue to work on N. 15th St. (WCR 15) improvements into September.
