Windsor Vision Zero Plan
Vision Zero is the community's goal to reduce the number of severe crashes (fatalities and serious injuries) to zero. At its core, this goal is inspired by the belief that traffic collisions are preventable, and even one fatality is too many.
The Vision Zero Plan identifies and prioritizes actions to improve traffic safety over five years — from 2025 to 2030. A Vision Zero Safety Action Plan Task Force was assembled by project staff and consultants consisting of stakeholders, including local government officials, transportation experts, and community members, working collaboratively to create and implement strategies aimed at eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries, with the goal of creating a safer, more sustainable transportation system.
