Windsor’s Online Platform for Community Conversations

We know you’re busy. We also know you have opinions about projects and improvements happening throughout the Town of Windsor. Traditionally, if you wanted to have a voice on a particular project or planning effort in our community, you had to attend one of several in-person meetings. Now, through Project Connect, you can learn about projects, provide 24/7 feedback from your desktop or mobile device and engage in dialogue with town staff about the topics that are important to you. 

Through Project Connect, we’re providing a way to:

  • Give residents and business owners a safe, virtual environment to participate in community discussion on various town projects and topics. 
  • Allow residents and business owners the opportunity to see, think about, and comment on each other’s opinions from the comfort of their computer or mobile device at a time and place that best suits you. 
  • Help town staff gather important data that helps improve the Town of Windsor decision-making process. 
  • While in-person meetings will continue to be an important factor in the planning process, we’re hoping that through Project Connect, we can involve more community members in their local government. 

Comments, ideas and suggestions collected from the Project Connect platform will be used by our project teams to inform town improvement, programs and events. Your online feedback will be used in conjunction with other in-person activities such as meetings and open houses.  

All feedback provided during consultation will be considered; however, this does not mean that every suggestion will affect the project or be adopted as proposed.

Participation is Easy

Planning for playgrounds and open spaces looks different from planning for traffic patterns and growth so each Project Connect effort is unique. To participate, visit the project page interests you most and if the comment period is open, submit your feedback via the online discussion forums, quick polls and surveys. 

To participate for the first time, simply:

Sign up for Project Connect by clicking on the "Sign In" button at the top right of any page. 

  • Choose a username and unique password. The Town of Windsor does not have access to your password and there is an option to reset it when needed. 
  • Complete a few quick questions about you—demographic information will help town staff know if they need to work harder to involve a particular demographic. 
  • You will receive an email to validate your email address.
  • Return to the website and click the "Sign In" button

Your privacy and participation in this Project Connect engagement platform is important. Residents can choose to use the website anonymously by choosing a username that protects their anonymity. By signing up for this tool, you allow the Town of Windsor will use your email address to contact you with updates and invite you to participate in projects and events.
