Beginning Tuesday, May 27, 7th St. will be closed from the Eastman Park Dr. roundabout to Laku Lake Rd., the entrance to the Eastman Park South Expansion, for bridge rehabilitation. The closure will remain in place throughout the summer, weather permitting.
During this time, all traffic—including motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians—will be required to detour.
Motorists
Detour via Crossroads Blvd., CO 257, and Eastman Park Dr.
Cyclists
- Those traveling on the Poudre River Trail (north of the closure) should detour via Eastman Park Dr. and Water Valley Pkwy.
- Those on 7th St. (south of the closure) should detour via Laku Lake Road, the Poudre River Trail through Eastman Park, Eastman Park Drive, and Water Valley Parkway.
Pedestrians
Remain on sidewalks and avoid the active construction zone. Those walking along the Poudre River Trail should detour via Eastman Park Dr. and Water Valley Pkwy.
Eastman Park River Experience Users
Exercise extreme caution due to fast river flow rates. Tubers, kayakers and paddleboarders are advised to exit the river before passing under the 7th St. bridge construction zone.
This project involves complex coordination with CDOT, environmental protections for the Cache la Poudre River, and efforts to maintain access to Eastman Park and related programming. The community’s continued patience and cooperation throughout the duration of the work is extremely appreciated!

Following the end of the school year, the town will commence the 7th Street Bridge Rehabilitation Project, which will require a full closure of 7th St. from Eastman Park Drive to Laku Lake Rd. through August, weather permitting.
Significant traffic delays and congestion are expected throughout the duration of the project, and motorists are strongly encouraged to plan alternate routes in advance, particularly if accessing Eastman Park, the Eastman Park River Experience or Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
