Project Update: May 23

The Chestnut St. to Garden Dr. Drainage Improvements Project has reached completion, marking the end of a two-phase endeavor initiated in 2020 to address flood concerns in the Chimney Park area. Efforts encompassed storm line enhancements along 1st St. and Garden Dr., the expansion of the Folkstone Detention Pond and the addition of stormwater infrastructure along Chimney Park Dr., Chestnut St. and Garden Dr. removed 86 residential structures from the annual chance of flooding. Motorists will see the benefit of reduced street flooding by up to 1.5 feet.
