To cater to the diverse fitness needs of the community, the Community Recreation Center will be undertaking significant upgrades and enhancements in 2024.

Diamond Brite Replacement

This upgrade involves the replacement of pool liners across all three indoor pool areas within the recreation center, including the lap lanes, lazy river and hot tub. This renovation aims to ensure a safe aquatic environment and well-maintained space for patrons. This project is anticipated to begin during the annual shutdown in mid-August and is projected to take two to three weeks to complete.

Outdoor Exercise Equipment

In addition, the recreation center is introducing a new space with outdoor exercise equipment, just north of the Community Recreation Center. This outdoor exercise area will be the recreation center's newest amenity and provide innovative workout options.

The entire project is funded through the Community Recreation Center fund, with a budget of $715,000 allocated for these transformative upgrades. This project specifically allocates $415,000 for the outdoor exercise equipment and $300,000 for Diamond Brite replacement. The goal of this project is the maintenance of existing amenities but also introduces innovative elements to enhance the overall recreational experience for residents and visitors.
