Windsor to Host Public Engagement Meeting at Eastman Park Skatepark, Featuring Olympic Skaters

Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture invites the public to attend to a dynamic Public Engagement Meeting on Monday, April 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Eastman Park Skatepark, 31700 Eastman Park Dr. This interactive gathering offers attendees the exciting opportunity to meet Olympic Athlete Skaters Cody McEntire and Julia Brueckler, who will skate alongside attendees and gather feedback on the design of new park elements.

As part of the Eastman Park Skate Park Replacement project, scheduled for construction and completion in the early fall of 2024, this event is a crucial step in revitalizing the skatepark. The project, driven by the need to replace aging infrastructure, has received approval from the Town Board and secured a $300,000 budget from the Capital Improvement Fund, underscoring the town's commitment to enhancing recreational amenities for the community.

Attendees will have the opportunity to skate with McEntire and Brueckler while providing valuable input on the design of the new elements. From ramps to rails, public feedback will shape the future layout of the skatepark, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of the community.
