The Town of Windsor is nearing completion of improvements to its railroad quiet zones, building on work largely completed last year.

The Federal Railroad Administration inspection identified several compliance issues that have since been addressed, including signage updates, pavement markings, detectable warnings, and median replacements to meet required standards.

This summer, the Main Street median will be extended, and temporary patching around the new medians on Highway 257 and Walnut Street will be replaced with asphalt. These final improvements will complete the project.
