January Project Update
Share January Project Update on Facebook Share January Project Update on Twitter Share January Project Update on Linkedin Email January Project Update linkHappy 2022! We wanted to give a formal update about the project to address what work has been completed and what residents can expect. Since our community open house, we have completed the following:
- Installed two speed limit signs (one in each direction) to alert drivers of their speeds and encourage safe driving.
- Replaced yield signs along the corridor to stop signs.
- Developed a striping plan that narrows travel lanes for speed mitigation and safety aspects discussed at the open house and summarized in the previous corridor study.
Town Engineering staff were planning to implement the roadway striping changes this past fall, but due to supply chain issues and contractor availability, work has been delayed until this spring. We apologize for the delay and look forward to implementing our striping plan as soon as weather conditions allow and we’re able to get contractors scheduled.
