Treasure Island Demonstration Garden Survey
The Town of Windsor is planning a potential three-acre expansion of the existing one-acre Treasure Island Demonstration Garden, located in Eastman Park along the Poudre River Trail. This expansion will build on the garden’s original mission of community service, hands-on learning and sustainable gardening.
The garden, now in its 19th season, provides a place to grow fresh produce, which is donated to the Windsor-Severance Food Pantry, to explore water-wise and native plants and to learn gardening skills. The envisioned expansion will create additional opportunities with new demonstrations gardens, family-friendly and accessible spaces, shaded learning areas and interactive exhibits. Careful planning will protect existing trees, work with existing topography, and maintain water conservation practices, while creating a vibrant community space where residents can learn, volunteer, and connect with nature. By answering these 10 questions, you will help shape the garden expansion and continue the tradition of education, service, and stewardship. We anticipate this survey will take you about 5-10 minutes to complete.
