Treasure Island Demonstration Garden Survey

The Town of Windsor is planning a potential three-acre expansion of the existing one-acre Treasure Island Demonstration Garden, located in Eastman Park along the Poudre River Trail. This expansion will build on the garden’s original mission of community service, hands-on learning and sustainable gardening. 

The garden, now in its 19th season, provides a place to grow fresh produce, which is donated to the Windsor-Severance Food Pantry, to explore water-wise and native plants and to learn gardening skills. The envisioned expansion will create additional opportunities with new demonstrations gardens, family-friendly and accessible spaces, shaded learning areas and interactive exhibits. Careful planning will protect existing trees, work with existing topography, and maintain water conservation practices, while creating a vibrant community space where residents can learn, volunteer, and connect with nature.
