This waterline replacement project is continuing into the week of Tuesday, Sept. 8, after the holiday weekend. The following portions of 15^th St. will be closed from Tuesday, Sept. 8 until Friday, Sept. 11:

• Southbound 15^th St. from Main St. (CO 392) to Westwood Dr.
• Eastbound right turn lane from Main St. (CO 392) onto 15^th St.
• Southbound 15^th St. across Main St. (CO 392). Right or left turn only.
• 15^th St. from Lakewood Dr. to Southwood Dr.

Detours will be available via 14^th St., Westwood St., Walnut St., Wood Dr., and Lakewood Dr. Residents in the work zone will maintain access to homes at all times throughout the duration of construction.

TRAFFIC ALERT: 15^th St. Waterline Update

This waterline replacement project is continuing into the week of August 31. The following portions of 15^th St. and a portion of Main St. will be closed from Monday, Aug. 31 to Thursday, Sept. 3:

• Full 15^th St. closure from Walnut St. to Lakewood Dr.
• Northbound 15^th St. right turn only lane closure to Main St.
• Eastbound Main St. right turn designated acceleration lane closure

For the full 15^th St. closure, residents must detour via Wood St., Fernwood Dr., Walnut St. or 14th St. Residents in the work zone will maintain access to homes at all times throughout the duration of construction.

Work has begun on the 15^th St. Waterline Replacement project, and crews will be installing new water valves in several locations down the corridor over the next several days:

• Tuesday, Aug. 25: Lakewood Dr. in the morning and Stonewood Ct. in the afternoon
• Wednesday, Aug. 26: Walnut St. WEST of 15^th St. in the morning and Walnut St. EAST of 15^th St. in the afternoon
• Thursday, Aug. 27: 15^th St. Safeway entrance in the morning
• Friday, Aug. 28: 15^th St. Safeway truck entrance and Westwood Dr. in the afternoon

During this time, all through traffic will have to detour. Residents will maintain access to homes at all times through construction. Residents, business owners and commuters are encouraged to use extreme caution traveling down the 15^th St. corridor, as crews will be present throughout the work zone.

Once valves are installed, crews will work in sections to replace waterline down 15^th St. This work is necessary as the existing waterline has reached the end of its service life, and replacing the infrastructure now allows more efficient maintenance in the future.

Construction is anticipated to begin the week of Monday, Aug. 24. During this time, there will be a 2-3 hour disruption of water service, expected to impact several homes and businesses. Residents directly affected by this shutoff will be notified by Friday, Aug. 21.

A Virtual Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 2 p.m. to provide project information, anticipated timelines and upcoming impacts. Planned Water Service Shutoffs Tuesday, May 26 and Wednesday, May 27

As part of ongoing preparation work, planned water service shutoffs will occur on May 26 and May 27 for select residential and commercial properties within the project area. Impacted customers will experience temporary water outages while crews complete valve testing and related work. Door hanger notifications will be distributed directly to affected properties in advance of the shutoffs to ensure residents receive adequate notice.

Geotechnical Investigation Work

Residents and businesses along the project corridor may also notice increased activity over the next one to two weeks as a consultant completes geotechnical investigations in preparation for construction. This work will include utility locating, traffic control setup and drilling operations throughout the corridor.
