Windsor’s Patch Project will transition to Highland Meadows Pkwy. and Ruidoso Dr. beginning Monday, Oct. 7. During this period, Highland Meadows Pkwy. will be reduced to one lane of traffic. Flaggers will be present to assist with navigation through the work zone.

Drivers are advised to exercise caution and reduce speed while traveling through the construction area.

As the construction season comes to a close this fall, the town will initiate its asphalt patching project on Sunday, Sept. 29, weather permitting. Crews will conduct night work along Main St. (CO 392), just west of Colorado Blvd., until Wednesday, October 2. This segment of the project will have the most significant impact on traffic.

Various locations throughout town have been identified for asphalt patching. Contractors will address these areas sequentially. Delays and lane closures may occur.

Asphalt patching involves cleaning and cutting out damaged areas, applying and compacting fresh asphalt and sealing the patch to enhance durability and extend the pavement's lifespan.

Starting Wednesday, Sept. 4, the town’s overlay project will shift over to Highland Meadows Pkwy., from Main St. (CO 392) to just south of Annapolis Dr. The project will take about two weeks to complete.

During this time, there will be intermittent closures and delays but business and residential accessibility will remain. While the roadway is closed, all residents and business owners will have to detour. Motorists are encouraged to use extreme caution when traveling on the uneven surface through the work zone.

Slurry seal will be underway in the Peakview and Water Valley subdivisions starting Monday, August 5. This process is vital when extending the lifespan of a roadway and involves spreading slurry over the road to protect and make it more durable.

During this time, residents in the impacted area will have to move cars parked on the street into the driveway or relocated to a roadway that will not be sealed. A golf cart shuttle will be available to drive residents to their cars if necessary. Door hangers willthe end of the week to notify which residents will need to move their vehicle.

Windsor’s Overlay Project will begin construction along Diamond Valley Dr. from Eastman Park Dr. to Garden Dr. as early as Friday, August 2. During this time, the roadway will undergo intermittent closures while the roadway is milled and paved, but otherwise, businesses will remain accessible. Street parking will also be restricted. While the roadwork is anticipated to be ongoing during Windsor Charter Academy’s return to school, the roadway will still be drivable. All road work is weather permitting and subject to change. The Overlay Project in Windsor is progressing smoothly! Starting tomorrow, Thursday, July 18, Pine Dr. will undergo milling and overlay work from Stone Mountain Dr. to 10th St. Immediately after the milling of Pine Dr., crews will shift to Locust St. from 7^th St. to Chimney Park Dr.

During this period, please note the following:

🚧 Limited Residential Street Parking: Due to the ongoing work, residential street parking on Pine Dr. & Locust St. will be limited. Please plan accordingly.

🚧 Access to Homes and Businesses: Despite the roadwork, access to homes and businesses along Pine Dr. & Locust St. will be maintained throughout the project.

The town’s overlay project is set to begin soon and will extend into the fall, impacting several neighborhoods and arterial roadways throughout Windsor. Commencing next week, a series of closures will affect travel throughout the week:

🚧 Long’s Peak Cir. will be closed to through traffic from Haystack Dr. to Steeplechase Dr. starting Monday, June 24, until Tuesday, July 2.

🚧 Lookout Ct., Lookout Dr. and High Plains Ct. will close to through traffic from Tuesday, June 25, until Monday, July 15.

Throughout the project, residential street parking will be limited, but access to homes and businesses will remain open. Next in line for maintenance is Pine Dr. from Stone Mountain Dr. to 10th St., expected to commence the first week of July. All road work depends on weather conditions and may be subject to change.
